All reports coming from our friends in Alaska seem to share the same tone - the weather stinks! The good thing for us travellers is that even a lousy weather day in Alaska is still a day in Alaska, so we'll pack an extra sweater and tough it out! Kodiak Island got some snow over the weekend...
Another good thing about a slow spring is that the humpbacks have just started to return to the waters around Kodiak! Our friend Andy said he watched one do a full breach in the sea right out in front of his house...he's our guide for our whale watching trip, so we are hopeful we'll see lots of whales!
